This is an AWESOME VW event to get good deals, see old friends and support Waimalu Elementary. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, we are cruising from Airport Starbucks through Waikiki. We will see you there! The VW Club of Hawaii is a volunteer organization. We are a VW Ohana event driven club. We request you please observe the following while participating in all of the VW Club of Hawaii events. No burning out or racing. No illegal activities. No unruly behaviors etc. Failure to abide by our requests will result in 1 year suspension from all club events. Aloha Mahalos VW Club of Hawaii & Friends Keiki Gift Drive

Aloha VW Ohana, We are just sending out a BIG MAHALO to all that came out to support our first annual VW Club of Hawaii & Friends Keiki Gift Drive on Sunday December 4th at IHS Honolulu. Solid job by VW Club of Hawaii Crew Member Gordon Ortiz who planned and organized this wonderful community service event! It was a huge showing from Island VW Ohana with 45 cars coming out!!! Smiles all around and Christmas music filled the air as the donations rolled in! We were able to fill 3 bins of much need items, 2 with toys and clothes and 1 with food and toiletries! Also much appreciated was the jar filled with monetary donations too! Tours were given by Catherine Graham the IHS volunteer coordinator so people could see where there donations were going too. The experience was very humbling and we were glad to have helped in the classic VW Ohana style.
Big Mahalos to- Todd Matsumoto who donated the hot dogs, Loves Bakery who donated the buns and chips, The Motor cycle riders, 706 Ewa Crew, Waianae VW Crew, VW Club of Hawaii Crew Members and all the other Island VW Ohana who came out to make out 1st Annual Keiki Gift Drive a huge success!

Aloha VW Ohana,

Today after completing the Hot VW’s Magazine photo shoot and on the way home Bruddah Gonzo was encountered problems with his oval. Driving through Haliewa he was already experiencing sputtering and a possible fuel loss. No matter how many times he pulled over he witnessed the VW Brotherhood pulling over right behind him and lending a hand.

By the time they reached Kaneone our club Pres Todd Matsumoto offered to tow Gonzo all the way up the Likelike HWY to his home in Kalihi. Which we all know is a long journey.

Gonzo would like to express his gratitude to Todd Matsumoto, Shane Langen, Gordon Ortiz and everyone else who assisted.

In my conversation to Gonzo he said “Was really touching!”
