USUAL SUSPECT DELIVERED TOYS FOR TOTS
On a cool drizzly Saturday morning, brave VW enthusiasts charged the weather and gathered at Pearl City Walmart: Alfredo Decierdo of Kalihi-Makakilo, Wayne Siaris of Waianae, Jeff Ramos of Waipahu-Mililani, Bob Apao of Waipahu-Mililani, and Jim & Lynn Scott of Ko’olina.
As we arrived at Moanalua High School, Steven Onouye of Aloha Mustang and Shely Club of Hawaii who have organized this Toys for Tots event each year along with Marines dressed in their blues were there to greet each of the participating cars dropping off toys. Various local car clubs were early. Nice weather held out throughout most of the morning.
At around mid-morning, the Usual Suspects arrived. Led by Usual Suspects #1 Tracie Kekoa, rolling-in about twelve (12) VWs, the Usual Suspects donated ninety-eight (98) new, unwrapped toys for the keikis o aina. The VW Club of Hawaii and Hawaiian VW Outlaws donated toys totaled no where near (98). Regardless, the vintage/classic/air-cooled VW brand were very well represented, and the keikis of Hawaii will benefit from the hundreds of toys donated.
